Southern Ocean Ale

2021 Silver Winner – Melbourne International Beer Competition

Southern Ocean Ale is an XPA (Extra Pale Ale) style of beer that is light in colour but bold in flavour. Brewed with a smooth blend of Pilsner, Wheat Malts and Flaked Oats. Dry hopped with a combination of Vic Secret and Amarillo to give our beer refreshing, tropical, stone fruit and citrus flavours. This beer was developed to be the perfect ‘year-round’ ale as we find that this beer is well suited to many different styles of food. A part of our first release and it was awarded a silver medal at the 2021 Melbourne International Beer Competition. 

ABV: 4.5% / 375ml
Malt: Pilsner, Wheat, Oats
Hops: Vic Secret & Amarillo
IBU: 50

Howling Hefe

Howling Hefe is our take on the German Wheat beer classic, Hefeweizen. It’s hazy like the fine sea spray over Thunder Point but also crisp with a touch of dryness. Traditional banana and clove aromas and the late addition of Galaxy hops gives an Aussie passionfruit twist to this German classic. Howling Hefe is the perfect beer for a picnic in the warmer months or nestled around a cosy fire protected from the howling winds of Winter.  

ABV: 5% / 375ml
Malt: Pilsner, Wheat & Acidulated
Hops: Hallertau Blanc & Galaxy
IBU: 31

The Guardian

Named after the Maremma dogs that have guarded the penguins on Middle Island. The Guardian is a 3.5% mid strength ale that is full of flavour. It has a beautiful amber colour from the pale malt and is full of tropical, citrus, and floral hops that bring out lots of fruity flavours and aromas. Mid strength beer is increasing in popularity; however, they can lack in taste and body… something ‘The Guardian’ does not!

ABV: 3.5% / 375ml
Malt: Coopers Ale, Maris Otter, Light Crystal
Hops: Cascade, Vic Secret, Amarillo, Galaxy & Mosaic
IBU: 31

Get Shuck’d Oyster Stout

Get Shuck’d is our signature oatmeal stout with a difference. Two row and roasted barley, a generous amount of rolled oats and just a touch of black malt give this stout plenty of body and bitterness. A lavish helping of rock oysters added late in the boil add a unique saltiness that only the ocean provides.

ABV: 6% / 375ml
Malt: Two Row, Dextrine, Crystal 60L, Roasted Barley, Chocolate Malt, Black Malt, Rolled Oats
Hops: EKG & Hallertau
IBU: 30
